Ntek and Shimane University: international award at Internoise 2025

Together with Shimane University (Japan), Ntek Srl played a key role in presenting a significant scientific achievement at Internoise 2025, the world’s leading congress on acoustics, held this year in Brazil.
Dr. Aakriti Shrestha, PhD fellow under Prof. Takafumi Shimizu, presented the paper “Impact of Acoustic Properties and Visual Information on the Perceived Realism of Traditional Performing Arts in Public Cultural Halls”, a study carried out with the active collaboration of Luca Sassi, Marketing Specialist at Ntek Srl, who was officially mentioned as co-writer.
The paper received the prestigious Young Professional Award, granted to only 20 researchers worldwide, confirming the high scientific value of the work.
The presentation addressed innovative research topics, including:
-
methodologies for measuring soundscapes in urban environments,
-
studies on acoustic challenges in modern and postmodern theatres and concert halls,
-
the combined impact of acoustic properties and visual information on the perceived realism of traditional performing arts.
“Being mentioned in an internationally awarded paper is a significant recognition for Ntek: it confirms the value of our technical contribution and our commitment to supporting scientific research in building acoustics,” said Luca Sassi, Ntek Srl.
Future editions of Internoise will be hosted in Adelaide, Australia (2026) and Venice Mainland, Italy (2027), offering further opportunities for collaboration and international visibility.
With its expertise and technologies for the study of noise and vibration, Ntek will continue to support universities and research centers in developing innovative methodologies and tools for applied acoustics.
